The bad bits
Damage to the passenger side behind the door, mainly cosmetic and should be an easy fixDamp/condensation, mainly in the luton. This was repaired a while back but may still have damp because of all the rain we’ve had this winterFront passenger window needs looking at as it sticksMOT is 25 not 24 so it has 11 months on it. The main reason for selling is that in September the DVLA sent a medical form for me to complete. I originally thought it was for my 70th (July 2024). But it wasn’t and they sent me a letter in October revoking my licence. I have reapplied but they have insisted that I have a Drs examination so I am unable to take anyone for a test drive. I have also lost my grandfather rights to a “C” license so I can’t really legally use the van as its already at the 3.5 tonne unladen. If anyone wants to have a test drive you will need your own insurance and an appropriate License (I’m based in Harrogate). The garage where I had my MOT had a mechanic who was going to buy it but he had already got one. He did say that there was some damp wood under the kitchen area but it would probably dry out and and was non structural, he said it would not have put him off buying it.
He also said that the rear suspension was a bit low and would probably need more air putting in it.
I was told that the van should sell between £8k and £12k but because some work will be needed I’ve put only £4.5k on the bid, which will automatically be accepted, so if you want a first time van with a few jobs this could be a real bargain for you.
