Important things first! This is an auction with a low starting price and a very reasonable reserve. It is not advertised elsewhere, I will not end the auction early and assuming that the reserve is reached the highest bidder gets it.I am situated in the outskirts of Darlington (DL2 postcode) and you are very welcome to come and view it, in fact I would prefer it if you did, although it is kept at a local farm so a little advance notice is required.A £200 deposit is required within 48 hours of the auction ending with the balance paid by bank transfer prior to collection.
So, about the motorhome.A 2004 Lunar Champ on a Fiat Ducato platform, fitted with the powerful but economical 2.8 litre diesel engine which has only covered 48,000 miles which can be confirmed by on line MOT history. It weighs less than 3,500kg and can be driven on a normal car licence. It has the very desirable layout with a fixed double bed to the rear and a fixed double bed above the cab.The table area also converts into a double bed giving a sleeping capacity of 6.We bought this 3 years ago with big ideas but unfortunately things haven’t worked out as expected and consequently we have barely used it, covering only 1,000 miles in that time.Upon purchase, we had it professionally reupholstered with new flooring being fitted as the interior was looking dated and also had a full cam belt service and a habitation service. Receipts are available for all of this work. The cab battery was replaced immediately prior to us purchasing it and I replaced the leisure battery last year.It is in very nice condition inside and out but it is 20 years old now so inevitably there is the odd scuff here and there.MOT expires at the end of March but it is booked in and will come with a full MOT.The photos tell the story of the motorhome inside and out and you can see that it is very well equipped and everything works as it should. All manuals etc are present and correct. It genuinely is ready to go and all bedding, utensils, pots and pans etc are brand new and unused and will be included in the sale as will camping chairs, table etc.A motorcycle rack is included in the sale (not the motorcycle though!) and this could also be used to carry several bicycles if you prefer.A Caravanstore pull out awning is also fitted which is simple to use and really adds something to the experience.
In summary this is a genuine and honest motorhome with many great adventures and thousands of miles left in it, and it just needs to go to a good home where it will be used as it should.Hopefully I’ve covered everything here but feel free to message me with any questions and I will reply as quickly as I can.
Happy bidding!
On 25-Mar-24 at 10:51:16 GMT, seller added the following information:I’ve had a few people asking about the motorcycle rack and its removal so I’ve added a photo to show what the rack looks like once it’s removed. Removal and refitting are genuinely 5 minute jobs as a tow bar frame is fitted to the van and the legs of the rack (see photo) simply slide into the open ends of the frame and are there locked into place with 2 lock bolts either side.
